what we collect

when you use twyn, we collect:

• email address — for authentication only
• display names — chosen by visitors when starting a conversation
• chat messages — conversations between visitors and twyns
• usage data — anonymized analytics like pages visited and features used (opt-out available)

how AI works

twyns are AI-powered digital clones. when a visitor sends a message, it's processed by Anthropic's Claude to generate a response based on the creator's personality training. messages are sent to Anthropic's API for processing and are subject to their privacy policy.

analytics & telemetry

we collect two types of anonymized data to improve twyn:

• usage analytics — anonymized product usage (features used, session duration). no personal data.
• conversation insights — aggregated, de-identified conversation patterns (topics, sentiment, volume). individual messages are never shared.

both can be turned off in your dashboard settings at any time.

third-party services

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Anthropic — AI message processing
• Vercel — hosting
• Plausible — privacy-friendly analytics (no cookies)

data retention

your data is stored as long as your account exists. ghost mode conversations are fully ephemeral — nothing is saved.

your rights

you can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. we will remove everything within 30 days.

what we don't do

we don't sell your personal data. we don't show ads. we don't share individual messages with anyone except through the twyn system as designed (creator sees visitor conversations).
